Operation Considerate - Hulme Hall Lane junction Vickers Street, Miles Platting, Manchester – CoM North – Tuesday 3rd March 2026, 08:00 to 12:00 hours.

Roads Policing Unit, Motorbike Unit, Traffic Police Community Support Officers, Team 1 Neighbourhood Policing Team, CoM North Tutor Unit, Representative from the Motor Insurance Bureau.

 The results were as follows:-

Vehicles Stopped – 66

Arrests – 1x S.5A RTA 1988 (Positive for Cannabis on a preliminary roadside drug test)

Uninsured vehicles seized – 6

Stop & search – 2

Prohibition notices issued – 1

Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme – 2

Mobile phone offences – 5

Seatbelt offences – 4

Tyre offences – 2

Vehicle Registration Plate offences – 4

Contravened a Red-light offence – 1

Insecure load offence – 1 

Preliminary Breath Test Conducted – 1

One driver who was transporting fresh produce, had been driving on an expired provisional licence since 1968. Driver summonsed to court for driving without valid third-party insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Their vehicle was seized, but we did allow the driver to recover his stock of fresh produce.
